6.Is there a relationship between lyrics and visuals in the song
There is relationship between the visuals and the lyrics as when the lyrics say 'If i could turn back the hands of time' she then enters a room full of clocks and is even wearing clocks on her jacket and even her nails are made of clock pieces e.g the hands and the cogs
7.Is there a relationship between music and visuals?
Throughout the whole video there is alot of cutting to different parts but i don't think it cuts in time to the music but the cutting does seem to speed up as the instrumental bits come in
8.What is the importance of the artist in the visuals?
In the video it shows Jessie being not normal but it shows her unique style both in clothing and in the way she acts. She has alot of input in what she wears in the video so it represents her style in a very good way. The video was inspired by Lewis Carrols classic tale 'Alice In Wonderland' this can be seen by the big table at the beggining which looks like the mad hatters tea party. Also the part where she is in the corridor with lots of doors is inspired by 'Scooby Doo' and 'Alice In Wonderland'. It does relate to other video's by Jessie J like 'Do It Like A Dude' because she just seems to bring something new to it all and puts her own unique style into the video which makes it more exciting.
9.is there any voyeurism in the video?
There is a part in the video where there is a clip of her last single 'Do It Like A Dude'
10.Does the video have any intertextuality?
Yes, it shows influences from Lewis Carrols 'Alice In Wonderland'also from 'Scooby Doo' and 'the statue of liberty'.
11.What is the mixture in the video between performance and narrative?
It is mainly a story throughout so mainly narrative but during it Jessie is constantly singing to the camera so it could be performance aswell. This may be because Jessie isnt a band she is a solo artist and her voice is her instrument and because she does the videos herself she put narrative and performance together to create a greater feeling.
